Men’s Swimming Drops Meet at SUNY Maritime, 136-72

Throggs Neck, NY --- The Brooklyn College Men's Swimming team dropped a non-conference meet earlier tonight against SUNY Maritime College by a score of 136-72 at the Riesenberg Hall Pool. With the loss, the Bulldogs drop to 1-6 overall on the season, as the Privateers improve to 6-2 overall on the year.

Roman Vilnyanskiy and Brian Clarke each took home first places finishes for the Bulldogs on the evening, as Vilnyanskiy beat the field in the 50-Yard Freestyle with a time of 24.28, while Clarke won the 100-Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:20.65.

The quartet of Maxim Kravtsov, Aleks Goos, Vilnyanskiy and Patrick O'Leary-Gullo took first place in the 400-Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 4:02.39.

Brooklyn will be back in action this Saturday, January 29th, as the Bulldogs will host the Panthers of SUNY Old Westbury in the 2010-2011 regular season finale. The meet is scheduled for a 12:00 pm start time.
