Men Top Sarah Lawrence, while Women Fall to Sarah Lawrence in Final Meet of the Regular Season

Bronxville, NY --- In their final regualr season meet, the Brooklyn College Men's Swimming team defeated Sarah Lawrence College, 104-50; while the Brooklyn Women's Swimming team lost to Sarah Lawrence , 126-71, in a double dual meet on Friday night in Bronxville, NY.

With the win, the BC Men conclude the regualr season with a 2-7 overall record, while the BC Women end the season with a 3-9 record. Both teams will now look towards the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) Champsionships, which will take place from February 2-4 at Lehman College.

On the men's side, Brooklyn took the opening event, the 200-Yard Medley Relay, as the quartet of James Marty, Brian Clarke, Maksim Kravtsov and Brian Fay finished first with a time of 2:12.55.

Wilson Lee had a solid individual porformance taking first place in both the 1,000-Yard Freestyle (14:40.54) and the 500-Yard Freestyle (7:14.43).
Marty also had a pair of first place individual finishes in the 100-Yard Butterfly with a time of 1:26.46, as well as the 100-Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:15.09.

Kravtsov recorded a first place finish in the 200-Yard IM with a time of 3:10.30.

In the final event of the night, the team of Anthony Sideris, Ka Ho Yueng, Clarke and Kravtsov registered a first place finish in the 200-Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:56.50.

On the women's side, Jenny Lee took home a first place finish in the 100-Yard Butterfly, with a time of 1:20.81. In the 200-Yard Freestyle Relay, the foursome of Jillian Escobar, Amanda Martino, Jacqueline Szpunt and Angela Redekop earned first place with a time of 2:12.51.
