Bronx, NY --- The Brooklyn College Women's and Men's Swimming & Diving teams both fell to City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) rival the Lighting of Lehman College in a double dual meet tonight at the Apex Aquatic Center on the campus of Lehman College in the Bronx, NY.

The Brooklyn Women fell 99-85, while the Brooklyn Men lost 103-91.

With the loss the BC Women fall to 3-5 overall and 1-4 in the CUNYAC; while the Lehman Women improve to 2-7 overall and 1-0 in league action. The BC Men fall to 1-5 overall and 1-3 in the conference and the Lehman Men improve to 4-2 overall and 1-0 in the CUNYAC.

On the Women's side, the quartet of Jenny Lee, Amanda Martino, Valentina Monroy and Stephanie Caravello took a first place finish in the 200-Yard Medley Relay with a time of 2:25.68.

Monroy had a strong individual performance taking a first place finish in the 50-Yard Freestyle with a time of 28.50 and a first place finish in the 100-Yard Freestyle with a time of 1:02.42.

Lee (100-Yard Backstroke – 1:18.69) and Megan Pendergast (500-Yard Freestyle – 6:43.95) also had first place finishes for the Bulldogs.

The foursome of Pendergast, Electra Telesford, Martino and Angela Redekop came in first in the 200-Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 2:23.85.

On the Men's side, Maksim Kravtsov, Patrick O'Leary-Gullo and James Marty all took home first place finishes. Kravtsov came in first in the 100-Yard Butterfly with a time of 1:11.89, while O'Leary-Gullo took first in the 100-Yard Freestyle with a time of 1:01.90. Marty placed first in the 500-Yard Freestyle with a time of 6:31.70.

In the 200-Yard Freestyle Relay, the team of Kravtsov, Brian Clarke, O'Leary-Gullo and Ka Ho Yeung took first with a time of 1:51.94.

Brooklyn will return to the pool on Saturday, January 14th as the Bulldogs will travel to Old Westbury, NY to take on the Panthers of SUNY College at Old Westbury in a double dual meet.
