Women’s Soccer Falls to Staten Island

Box Score Staten Island, NY --- The Brooklyn College Women's Soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to the Dolphins of the College of Staten Island this afternoon at the CSI Soccer Complex. BC falls to 5-7-1 overall on the season; while the CSI improves to 9-5 overall on the year.

The Dolphins used a pair of goals in each half en route to their 4-0 shutout victory. CSI controlled the majority of the action, holding a 38-5 shot advantage, as well as a 4-2 edge in corner kicks.

Staten Island's Demi-Jean Martorano recorded a hat-trick with three goals, to go along with an assist to help power the Dolphins offense. Samantha Wysokowski added a goal and two assists on the day.

Brooklyn's Melissa St. Louis played all 90 minutes in goal, surrendering the four goals to go along with 16 saves on the day. Her counterpart Jennifer Coughlin also played all 90 minutes and registered two saves en route to earning the shutout win.

Brooklyn will return to the pitch on Wednesday, October 24th, as the Bulldogs will welcome borough rival Medgar Evers College to Brooklyn College Field for the team's regular season finale. BC's seniors will be honored before the start of the game as part of Senior Night celebrations.
