Brooklyn, NY --- The Brooklyn College Women's Swimming team defeated borough rival St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) 104-84 on Tuesday night in the West Quad Center pool. BC moves to 2-1 overall on the season, while the Bears fall to 0-2 overall on the year.
The Bulldogs took first place in six of the 11 events that were performed on the night. Junior
Megan Pendergast led the way taking first place in both the 100-Yard Freestyle (1:02.92) and the 100-Yard Breaststroke (1:26.36).
Sophomores
Angela Redekop (1,000-Yard Freestyle) and
Laura Rodriguez (200-Yard Freestyle), freshman
Danielle Mollo-Siano (50-Yard Freestyle) and junior
Valentina Monroy (100-Yard Butterfly) all took home a first place finish on the evening.
Brooklyn will be back in action next Tuesday, November 27th, as the Bulldogs will hit the road to take on the Hawks of Hunter College in a key City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) match up. The meet is scheduled for a 6:00 pm start time at Hunter.
