Bronxville, NY --- The Brooklyn College Women's Tennis team suffered a 7-2 setback earlier today against the Gryphons of Sarah Lawrence College in a non-conference match at the Andrews Tennis Courts in Bronxville, NY. With the loss, BC falls to 3-1 overall on the season and Sarah Lawrence improves to 3-2 overall on the year.
The Gryphons swept doubles play to take an early 3-0 advantage and would later come out victorious in four of the six singles matches to take the 7-2 win.
Brooklyn's
Norma Lynn Chabbott and
Hadiya Cameron picked up the wins for BC. Chabbott defeated Kayla Pincus 6-2, 6-4 at #2 singles, while Cameron outlasted Lane Garber 6-3, 7-6 (7-5) at #5 singles.
Brooklyn will look to get back on track this Thursday, September 27th, as the Bulldogs will play host to Kean University in a key non-conference match. The match is scheduled for a 4:30 pm start at the Roosevelt Courts on the BC campus.
