Box Score Wayne, NJ --- The Brooklyn College Women's Volleyball team dropped its non-conference match earlier tonight against the Pioneers of William Patterson Univeristy, 3-1 (21-25, 25-14, 25-17, 25-9), on the road in Wayne, NJ. With the loss, the Bulldogs fall to 0-3 overall on the season, while the Pioneers remain undefeated at 4-0 overall on the young season.
This was the second meeting between the two teams this season, as BC and William Patterson played this past Saturday on a neutral court in Old Westbury, NY. The Pioneers won that meeting in straight sets, 3-0 (25-10, 25-11, 25-12).
After earning a hard fought first set victory, 25-21, Brooklyn would be unable to build on its momentum, as William Patterson cruised in the next three sets(25-14, 25-17, 25-9) to take the four-set match win.

Kayla Scurry recorded a team-high eight kills with a solid .467 hitting percentage, while junior
Jillian Escobar and senior
Annalisa Carbonaro finished with seven and six kills, respectively. Senior
Kathy Chu dished out 21 assists, while sophomore
Fanny Ng was strong defensively with 13 digs.
For William Patterson, the home team was paced by Shauna VanDeRee's match-high 11 kills. Taylor Woegens added 10 kills, while Liz Dykhouse handed out 22 assists. Danielle Koukos contributed with 10 assists and Erika Masso chipped in with 13 digs.
Brooklyn returns to action this Thursday, September 6th, as the Bulldogs will host the College of New Rochelle for their 2012 home opener. The first 250 fans in attendance will receive a free BC Volleyball t-shirt as part of “White Out Night”. The match is scheduled to start at 7:00 pm at the West Quad Center with doors opening at 6:15 pm. All fans are encouraged to wear white.
