Box Score 2 Jamaica, NY---The Brooklyn College Women's Volleyball Team dropped their first two conference matches of the season at Saturday's multimatch hosted by York College, falling to Baruch and Hunter.
The Bulldogs fell to the Bearcats, 25-9, 25-14, 25-11 and to the Hawks, 25-5, 25-12, 25-12.
With the losses BC falls to 0-6 on the season and 0-2 in Conference play. Baruch improved to 3-4 and 1-0 in league play, while Hunter upped their record to 2-0, 2-0.
Jillian Escobar led the way for Brooklyn in the Baruch match with five kills but the Bearcats' 15 aces were too much to overcome.
In the second match BC struggled to get any offensive attach, posting a mere eight kills for the match. "We hung in defensively however we need to step up our offense," said Head Coach
Joanne Riggs."
The Bulldogs will look to get their first win on the season on Tuesday when they head to Purchase to take on the Panthers at 7 pm.
