Box Score Brooklyn, NY --- Playing in their final regular season home game of the 2013 season on Saturday afternoon at BC Field, the Brooklyn College Men's Soccer team suffered a 3-2 loss at the hands of the visiting Dolphins of the College of Staten Island in City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) action.
With the loss, the Bulldogs fall to 9-6 overall on the year and 5-2 in the CUNYAC; while the Dolphins improve to 7-10-1 overall on the season and 4-3 in conference play.

Stamatis Boundouris were all recognized for their hard work and dedication to the BC Men's Soccer program.
Staten Island came out determined to spoil BC's senior day as the Dolphins got on the board in the 10th minute, when Alfonso Castaneda found an open Thomas Vazquez, who was able to beat the keeper and put the visitors up 1-0.
The lead would not last long, however, as Prokofyev took advantage of a penalty kick opportunity following a foul in the box, to even the game at 1-1 in the 12th minute. For Prokofyev, he is now a perfect 5-for-5 on penalty kick chances on the season and has a CUNYAC best 15 goals of the year.
The game would remain knotted up at 1-1 as the teams headed into the intermission break.
The second half featured much of the same, as both teams battled for the go-ahead goal. CSI would eventually strike again, when Peter Hanna sent a pass into the box off a free kick that found Marcin Klim, who was able to find the back of the net in the 60th minute, putting the Dolphins up 2-1.
The CSI lead would not last long again, as junior
Fernand Grisales headed in the equalizer on a rebound opportunity on a ball that came off the cross bar from a previous shot, tying the game at 2-2 in the 62nd minute.
With the game looking to head into overtime, Vazquez would strike once again with his second score of the day, taking a cross from Ali Fares to put the visiting Dolphins ahead for good, 3-2, in the 80th minute.
Junior
Kamil Ostrowski and Boundouris split time in net, as Ostrowski played the first half making three saves; while Boundouris played the second making one save.
John Gioeli played all 90 minutes in goal, making seven saves on the day.
Brooklyn will return to the pitch on Wednesday, October 23rd, as the Bulldogs will travel to Randall's Island (Field #83) to take on the Beavers of CCNY in the regular season finale. The match is scheduled for a 3:00 pm start time.
