Box Score 2 Wayne, NJ---The Brooklyn College Women's Volleyball Team competed in the William Paterson Trimatch on Saturday, falling to the host Pioneers, 25-18, 25-17, 25-16, before dropping the afternoon match, 25-15, 25-17, 25-17 to Mt. St. Mary. The Blue Knights raise their season mark to 10-15, while Paterson moved to 15-5 and BC falls to 10-14.
In the WPU match, Sophomore
Yelizaveta Malysheva tied for the team-high with seven kills and also tallied a team-high 11digs, while
Julia Bogdan matched her seven kills.
Manon Bailly had an efficient match with two kills and no errors, while leading the squad with two solo blocks and three block assists.
The Pioneers, who had only six players see action, were led by Mary Long and Daniella Salemo who shared the match-high of 12 kills a piece.
Bogdan once again led the Bulldogs in killed against Mt. St. Mary, but was limited to only five, while senior
Jillian Escobar chipped in with four.
Bailly had another efficient performance as she knocked home three kills with no attack errors.
Escobar led the team with six kills, while freshman
Crystal Wu finished the day with a combined 34 assists over the two matches.
Katie Lynch posted a match-high 14 kills for the Blue Knights.
Brooklyn will be back home for their final home match of the season on Wednesday as they host Sarah Lawrence at 7 pm. Senior Night ceremonies will be prior to the match has seniors
