Box Score Union, NJ---The Brooklyn College Women's Volleyball Team got their second victory in as many nights on Friday, defeating Centenary 25-15, 25-9, 25-16 in their first match at the Kean University Tournament. WIth the win the Bulldogs improve to 7-9 while the Cyclones fall to 0-15 on the year.
Freshman
Julia Bogdan had one of her best performances of her career with 14 kills for BC, while senior
Manon Bailly also had a big night with eight kills of her own. Fellow senior
Jillian Escobar added seven kills, six aces and four digs on the evening.
Freshmen setters
Crystal Wu and
Vera Zhuk each contributed, as Wu dished out 14 assists while playing two sets, while Zhuk played the other and notched nine assists.
The win was not only Brooklyn's second straight but their seventh on the year, giving them three more than they tallied all of last season.
The Bulldogs will not have much time to celebrate their mini-streak, as they will have to face Kean at 11 am tomorrow, followed by SUNY Canton at 1 pm, with both matches being played at Kean's campus in Union, New Jersey.
