Bronxville, NY --- The Brooklyn College Men's and Women's Swimming teams competed in a tri-meet on Saturday afternoon at Sarah Lawrence College along with Mount Saint Mary College (NY).
On the Men's side, BC lost both meets falling to host Sarah Lawrence 109-93 and Mt. St. Mary 136-64. On the Women's side, BC also dropped both meets, falling to Sarah Lawrence 142-59 and Mt. St. Mary 134-67.
Maged Mahmoud posted a first place finish in the Men's 200-Yard Backstroke with a time of 2:42.32; while
Ka Ho Yeung (1,650-Yard Freestyle; 23:32.07),
Sami Lerner (3:00.67; 200-Yard Butterfly) and
Maksym Soloninko (2:42.32; 200-Yard Breaststroke) all posted a third place finish in their respective meets.
The foursome of
Kevin Barros,
Blake Bakal, Lerner and
Seth Weiss registered a second place finish in the 400-Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 4:09.59.
Brooklyn had a strong showing in the Women's 400-Yard IM, as
Jenny Lee (5:35.56) and
Valentina Monroy (5:39.16), posting a second and third place finish, respectively.
Enlisa Ng Ou finished in second place in the 200-Yard Breaststroke.
Brooklyn will be back in action this Tuesday, November 19th, as the Bulldogs will travel to Staten Island, NY to take on the Dolphins of the College of Staten Island in a City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) match. The meet is scheduled for a 6:00 pm start time.
