Box Score Montclair, NJ --- The Brooklyn College Men's Soccer team fell on the road to the Red Hawks of Montclair State University in a non-conference match on Monday night by a score of 6-0 at MSU Soccer Park.
With the loss, BC drops to an even 5-5 overall on the season, while Montclair State improves to 8-2-1 overall on the year. The Red Hawks are also currently ranked 17th in the latest NSCAA Top-25 Coaches Poll and 4th in the latest D3Soccer.com Top-25 Poll.
MSU got on the board early, as Brian Cullen took a long pass from Jon Krzysik for the first score of the game in the 9th minute. Aaron Rose would later put the home team up 2-0, as Rose knocked home a cross from Lucas Terci in the 32nd minute.
The score would remain 2-0 in favor of the Red Hawks, as the game headed into the halftime break.
Montclair State would continue to push the offensive tempo, as the Red Hawks would score four more times in the second stanza en route to their 6-0 win.
Mike Olla had the first score of the second half in the 52nd minute with Joe Borrajo assisting on the play. Terci would later add a pair of scores in the 54th and 59th minutes, with Cullen and Maxx Wurzburger assisting, respectively.
Rose would cap off the scoring with her second goal of the night in the 77th minute, with Ryan Morris assisting on the score.
For the game, MSU outshot BC 23-10 and also held the corner kick advantage 5-3.
Kamil Ostrowski played all 90 minutes in goal for BC, allowing six scores and making four saves. Michael Gonzalez started in net for MSU, playing 85:45 in goal, while making four saves to keep the Bulldogs off the scoreboard. Kevin Halloran played the final 4:15 of the match.
