Box ScoreJamaica, NY --- The Brooklyn College Women's Tennis team (5-3, 3-2 CUNYAC) shutout the Cardinals of York College (1-7, 0-5 CUNYAC) on Friday afternoon by a score of 9-0 in a City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) contest.
The match of the day featured Brooklyn's
Lauren Marino take on York's Sarah Hilaire at #3 singles. After dropping the opening set, 6-4, Marino came back to force a third set super tiebreaker by taking the second set, 6-4. Marino would complete her comeback by edging out a hard fought 15-13 win in the final set.
The Bulldogs will look to close out their conference schedule on Wednesday, October 15th, as BC will welcome the Lightning of Lehman College to the Roosevelt Courts. The match is scheduled for a 4:00 pm start time.
