Women’s Soccer Ties Staten Island

Box Score Brooklyn, NY --- The Brooklyn College Women's Soccer team played the College of Staten Island to a scoreless tie on Saturday afternoon in a matchup of undefeated City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) teams.

BC moves to 4-7-1 overall on the season and 3-0-1 in the CUNYAC, while CSI moves to 6-6-2 overall on the year and 5-0-1 in conference play.

The Bulldogs have two conference games remaining on their schedule and will finish in a tie for the regular season championship with CSI as long as Brooklyn wins out. The Dolphins have completed the conference slate of their schedule.

Brooklyn controlled much of the action all game long, outshooting Staten Island, 22-15, as well as holding the corner kick advantage, 5-3.

However, the Bulldogs were kept off the scoreboard by the solid play of the Dolphins' goalkeeper, Victoria Donegan, who recorded 12 saves playing all 110 minutes. Her counterpart, the Bulldogs' Rebecca Harmata, was also up to the challenge, posting eight saves, while also playing all 110 minutes in goal.

Brooklyn will look to remain unbeaten in conference play as the Bulldogs will host the Cardinals of York College on Monday, October 20th. The game is scheduled for a 6:30 pm start time at BC Field.
