Bergelie Louis notched two goals, including the eventual game-winner, to lead the Brooklyn College Women's Soccer team to a 3-0 win over the Beavers of The City College of New York in a non-conference game on Friday afternoon at BC Field. For the Bulldogs, it was their eighth shutout of the season.
With the win, BC moves to 7-7-1 overall on the year, while CCNY drops to 9-5 overall on the year.
Prior to the start of the game, Louis, the lone senior on the Bulldogs' roster, was honored for her hard work and dedication to the BC Women's Soccer program over the past two seasons as part of Senior Day celebrations.
Louis transferred to BC from fellow CUNYAC member John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where she was named the 2011 CUNYAC Rookie of the Year and a 2012 CUNYAC First Team All-Star. Louis made an immediate impact in her first season in Brooklyn in 2013, helping to lead the Bulldogs to the CUNYAC Championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance.
Louis got the Bulldogs on the scoreboard in the 39th minute, heading in the opening score off of a cross from sophomore
Serene Drakes.

Jordan Kerwin would later put the home team up 2-0 in the 66th minute, taking a pass from junior
Stefany Ibarra.
Louis would later add her second score of the day in the 68th minute taking advantage of a turnover to cap off BC's scoring en route to the Bulldogs' 3-0 win.
Emily Ramos made 16 saves in goal for CCNY playing all 90 minutes, while freshman
Rebecca Harmata (76:10) and junior
Michelle Cranston (13:50) split time in goal for the Bulldogs to combine for the shutout win.
Brooklyn will return to action tomorrow, Saturday, October 25th, as the Bulldogs will travel to Mahwah, NJ to take on the Roadrunners of Ramapo College. Game time is scheduled for 2:00 pm.
