Box Score Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Women's Volleyball Team played one of their best opening sets of the season, taking the 25-20 win, however the Bulldogs could not sustain that play over the remainder of the match, falling in four, 20-25, 25-19, 25-11, 25-14. The Bearcats improve to 12-15, 7-1 CUNYAC, while Brooklyn falls to 10-20, 4-4 CUNYAC.
Sasha Roopchand had a standout performance with 10 kills and 21 digs, while
Francesca LoCascio added six kills and three solo blocks for the Bulldogs. Â
Baruch's duo of Akilah Meulens and McKenzie Davidson had 10 kills a piece to lead their team and match Roopchand's match high. Â
Prior to the start of tonight's match, seniors Daniza Pena and
Fanny Ng were honored by Head Coach
Joanne Riggs and teammates. Â Pina, a four-year senior, finished the match with a kill, seven digs, a service ace and a solo block, while Ng had a team-high 23 digs and three assists.Â
This match concludes Brooklyn's CUNYAC regular season, however the team will face non-conference opponents Maritime and Kings College this Saturday before taking on CCNY on Tuesday in the CUNYAC Quarterfinals. Â That match will be at CCNY as Brooklyn finishes the #5 seed and City the #4 seed. Â
