ResultsNew York, NY --- The Brooklyn College Women's Swimming team fell to the Bloodhounds of John Jay College of Criminal Justice in City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) action on Thursday evening by a score of 57-38.
BC drops to 0-3 overall and 0-1 in the CUNYAC, while John Jay improves to 2-0 overall and 2-0 in the conference.
The Bulldogs took an early lead by taking first place in the opening event of the night, the 200-Yard Medley Relay, as the foursome of
Bennett Collier,
Rosalia Xue,
Enlisa Ng Ou and
Danielle Mollo-Siano posted a top time of 2:21.04.
From that point on, the Bloodhounds would take first place in the next five events to seize control of the meet and nine first place finishes overall in the 11 events that were swam on the night.
Xue would take BC's second first place finish, as she was the first to touch the wall in the 100-Yard Freestyle with a time of 1:07.53. Xue would also add a second place finish in the 200-Yard IM with a time of 2:52.13.
Other notable performances came from
Jenny Lee (1,000-Yard Free; 13:19.59/500-Yard Free; 6:36.47), Ng Ou (200-Yard Free; 2:25.70/100-Yard Breast; 1:19.38), Mollo-Siano (50-Yard Free; 30.94), Collier (100-Yard Fly; 1:20.84) and
Eva Chan (100-Yard Back; 1:30.10) who all registered second place finishes in their respective individual events.
Brooklyn returns to action on November 24th, as the Bulldogs will travel to Jamaica, NY to take on the Cardinals of York College in a CUNYAC meet. The Men's and Women's meet is scheduled for a 6:00 pm start time.
