Brooklyn, NY --- The Brooklyn College Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving teams closed out the 2014 portion of the 2014-2015 season with a non-conference meet against the Panthers of SUNY Purchase College on Wednesday evening at the West Quad Center Pool.

The BC Men were victorious 105-93, while the BC Women fell by a score of 110-82.

On the men's side, the foursome of Shokhrukh Nosirov, Maksym Soloninko, Daniel Posada and Jonathan Boyce took first place in the opening event, the 200-Yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:56.90.

Nosirov added a first place finish in the 50-Yard Freestyle with a time of 24.37. The Bulldogs would take the top two spots in the 50 Free, as Boyce followed with a time of 25.72.

Ka Ho Yeung was the first to touch the wall in the 500-Yard Freestyle with a time of a 6:16.68. BC would take second place in the 500 Free as well, as Kevin Barros posted a time of 6:18.15. Yeung also posted a second place finish in the longest event of the night, the 1,000-Yard Freestyle (13:24.31).

Other notable individual performances came from Barros (200-Yard Freestyle; 2:13.65), Soloninko (100-Yard Butterfly; 1:05.41/100-Yard Breaststroke; 1:08.80), Posada (100-Yard Freestyle; 56.87) and Maged Mahmoud (100-Yard Backstroke; 1:12.48), who all took home second place finishes in their respective events.

Trailing by one, 91-90, heading into the final event of the night, the 200-Yard Freestyle Relay, the Bulldogs took the top two sports to earn 15 points and take home the 105-93 victory. Nosirov, Yeung, Jason Barrientos and Boyce took first place with a time of 1:44.48; while Barros, Fong Zeng, Umut Tanritanir and Posada followed with a time of 1:45.86.

On the women's side, Jenny Lee took the top spot in the longest event of the night, the 1,000-Yard Freestyle with a time of 13:15.24 and was also the first to touch the wall in the 100-Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:14.45. Enlisa Ng Ou also took home two first place finishes on the night, as she took first in the 100-Yard Butterfly with a time of 1:13.45 and first in the 100-Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:18.68. Ng Ou added a second place finish with a time of 2:36.01 in the 200-Yard IM.

The Bulldogs took first in the final event of the night, the 200-Yard Freestyle Relay, as Lee, Karina Graysenko, Danielle Mollo-Siano and Bennett Collier took the top spot with a time of 2:02.44.

Other notable individual performances came from Mollo-Siano (50-Yard Freestyle; 30.67/100-Yard Freestyle; 1:10.53) and Rosalia Xue (500-Yard Freestyle; 6:59.11), who both took home second place finishes in their respective events.

Brooklyn returns to action after the New Year, as the Bulldogs will travel to the Bronx, NY to take on the Lightning of Lehman College in a City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) dual meet on January 7th at 6:00 pm.
