ResultsBrooklyn, NY --- The Brooklyn College Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving teams each fell to the Dolphins of the College of Staten Island on Wednesday evening in a City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) dual meet.
The BC Men fell by a score of 153.5 – 87.5, while the BC Women fell by a score of 116-85.
On the men's side,
Daniel Posada was the first to touch the wall in the 50-Yard Freestyle posting a top time of 25.09.
Jonathan Boyce also had a strong showing in the 50-Free, tying for second place with CSI's Christopher Pinto with a time of 26.36.
Other notable individual performances came from
Ka Ho Yeung (1,000-Yard Freestyle; 13:31.59),
Kevin Barros (200-Yard Freestyle; 2:10.61 & 100-Yard Backstroke; 1:11.12) and
Maksym Soloninko (100-Yard Breaststroke; 1:11.13), who all registered second place finishes in their respective events.
In the final event of the night, the 200-Yard Freestyle Relay, the foursome of
Shokhrukh Nosirov, Boyce,
Umut Tanritanir and Posada posted a time of 1:40.90, good for first place.
On the women's side,
Enlisa Ng Ou took first place in the 100-Yard Butterfly with a time of 1:15.83. Ng Ou also added a second place finish in the 100-Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:19.44.
The Bulldogs took the top two spots in the 100-Yard Backstroke, as
Bennett Collier took first with a time of 1:20.37, while
Eva Chan followed with a time of 1:29.70.
Other notable performances came from
Jenny Lee (1,000-Yard Freestyle; 13:42.95 & 500-Yard Freestyle; 6:37.66),
Danielle Mollo-Siano (50-Yard Freestyle; 30.83),
Rosalia Xue (200-Yard IM; 2:45.27) and
Karina Graysenko (100-Yard Freestyle; 1:12.94) who all recorded second place finishes in their respective events.
The BC Women will return to action this Friday, December 5th, as the Bulldogs will travel to CUNYAC foe Hunter College. The meet is scheduled for 6:00 pm. The BC Men are back in the poll on Wednesday, December 10th as the Bulldogs will host the Panthers of Purchase College. The Men's and Women's meet is scheduled for a 7:00 pm start time at the West Quad Center Pool.
