Box Score Hoboken, NJ --- The Brooklyn College Women's Soccer team opened its 2014 season with a 7-0 loss on the road against the Ducks of Stevens Institute of Technology on Sunday afternoon. The Bulldogs begin the year at 0-1, while the Ducks even their overall record to 1-1.
Stevens was led by Raba Nassif's four goals, three of which came in the first half. Kristen Goncalves also helped power the offense contributing with two assists and a goal.
The Ducks controlled the tempo from the opening whistle outshooting the Bulldogs 38-2 for the game and holding an 11-0 advantage in corner kicks.
Sophomore
Kimberly Chacko played the first 54:57 minutes in goal, allowing four goals and recording seven saves, while freshman
Rebecca Harmata played the final 35:03 and surrendered three goals to go with three saves.
Mahnken Lindsey played all 90 minutes between the pipes stopping BC's lone shot on goal, coming from sophomore
Jordan Kerwin, to preserve the shutout.
Brooklyn returns to action on Wednesday, September 3rd when the Bulldogs will travel to MSU Soccer Park in Montclair, NJ to take on the Red Hawks of Montclair State University. The match is scheduled for a 7:00 pm start time with
