Box Score Farmingdale, NY --- The Brooklyn College Men's Soccer team snapped its four-game losing streak on Wednesday afternoon with a 1-0 victory over the Rams of Farmingdale State College.
With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 1-4 overall on the year, while the Rams drop to 1-4 overall on the season.

Kenny Benitez got BC on the board early in the 8th minute, as he sent a shot from 20 yards out and into the back of the net over the goalkeeper for the first goal of the season. Junior
Sirojiddin Shamsiev assisted on the goal.
Behind a solid Brooklyn defense, sophomore
Ilya Keygen made the goal stand, registering two saves over 90 minutes to record the first shutout and win of his BC career.
For the match, the Bulldogs outshot the Rams by a slim 16-14 advantage, while Farmingdale held a 5-3 edge in corner kicks.
The Rams' Robert Tucker played all 90 minutes in net, allowing one goal to go with four saves.
Brooklyn will look to make it two straight with a major upset this Friday, September 12th, as the Bulldogs return to pitch for their 2014 home opener when BC will welcome #20 nationally ranked Wheaton College (Illinois) to Brooklyn College Field. The match is scheduled for a 3:00 pm start time.
