Box Score Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Bulldogs Women's Soccer Team suffered their first setback in a couple weeks as visiting FDU-Florham earned a 4-0 win to snap BC's three-game win streak. The loss was Brooklyn's first home loss of the season, bringing the squad's overall record to 3-5, while the Devils improve to 4-4-1.
FDU got on the board quickly as Justine Fernandez converted a penalty kick in the 16th minute of play to give her team an early 1-0 lead. The Devils wouldn't need long to inflate that advantage as Gabby Disco would take a Kim Overland cross and find the net in the game's 19th minute.
The Bulldogs would keep the deficit to two, but only muster two shots as compared to Florham's 12 in the half.
The Devils would get right back to work in the second half as this time it would be Fernandez who'd score on the assist from Overland, for her second goal of the contest, giving her squad the 3-0 lead in the 51st minute. FDU's Brittni Calleo would cap the game's scoring as she scored in the 77th minute of play to put the game out of hand.
While Brooklyn would not get on the board, they would do better in shot differential in the second half, falling 7-4.
The Bulldogs will be off until Saturday when they will take on conference foe York at 12 pm in the first half of a doubleheader. The men will face Medgar afterwards at 12:30.
