Men’s Soccer Falls in Opener of Stockton College Seashore Classic

Box Score Galloway, NJ --- The Brooklyn College Men's Soccer team (0-3) fell to host Stockton College (2-1-1) in the opening game of the Seashore Classic on Friday evening by a score of 7-0.

The Ospreys' Alex Kourahanis put the home team up 2-0 with scores in the 28th and 29th minutes as Stockton would go on to take a 3-0 lead into the halftime break. The Ospreys outshot the Bulldogs 18-6 in the first half, including a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Stockton would continue its offensive surge in the second half, as Anthony Colofranson added a pair of goals, to go along with an assist. The Ospreys would tally four second half goals en route to their 7-0 victory.

Brooklyn sophomore Ilya Keygen faced 18 shots on goal for the match and posted 11 saves, while playing all 90 minutes. His counterpart, Chris Giraudin also played all 90 minutes in net and stopped the lone shot on goal he faced to secure the shutout victory. Giraudin also helped spark the offense assisting on two goals.

Freshman Andral Dawkins accounted for six of Brooklyn's 10 shots in the game.

Brooklyn will return to the pitch tomorrow, Saturday, to conclude the Seashore Classic against The College of New Jersey. The game is scheduled for a 3:00 pm start time. Live stats will be available for the game.
