ResultsBrooklyn, NY --- The Brooklyn College Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving teams each dropped their City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) meet against the visiting Bearcats of Baruch College on Monday evening at the West Quad Center Pool.
Prior to the start of the meet, seniors
Daniel Posada,
Analy Ramirez,
Enlisa Ng Ou,
Bennett Collier,
Ka Ho Yeung and
Jenny Lee were all honored as part of Senior Night celebrations.
The Brooklyn Women fell by a score of 102-74, while the Brooklyn Men lost 117-99.
On the Women's side, Lee (500-Yard Freestyle) and Ng Ou (100-Yard Breaststroke) each registered a first place finish.
The quartet of
Milena Segal,
Analy Ramirez,
Danielle Mollo-Siano and
Ketcia Alvarez teamed up to take first place in the 200-Yard Freestyle Relay.
Overall, notable performances came from Ng Ou (200-Yard IM; 2:37.38),
Rosalia Xue (100-Yard Butterfly; 1:21.87) and Collier (100-Yard Backstroke; 1:22.99) who all earned second place finishes in their respective events.
On the Men's side,
Kevin Leung swept the diving events, taking the top spot in both the 1-Meter (206.05) and the 3-Meter (200.15) Dives.
The Bulldogs had their best showing in the 100-Yard Freestyle taking the top three spots, led by
Shokhrukh Nosirov who took first place with a time of 54.59.
Daniel Posada (56.86) and
Kevin Barros (58.77) rounded out the top three.
The foursome of Posada, Yeung, Nosirov and
Jonathan Boyce took first place in the 200-Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:41.17.
Other notable performances came from Yeung (1,000-Yard Freestyle; 13:20.62), Barros (200-Yard Freestyle; 2:14.93), Nosirov (50-Yard Freestyle; 23.89),
Anthony Siu (200-Yard IM; 2:39.02),
Maged Mahmoud (100-Yard Backstroke; 1:13.03) and
Maksym Soloninko (100-Yard Breaststroke; 1:11.21), who all took home second place finishes in their respective events.
Brooklyn returns to action this Saturday, January 17th as the Bulldogs will travel to Annandale-on-Hudson, NY to take on the Raptors of Bard College. The meet is scheduled for a 1:00 pm start time.
