ResultsAnnandale-on-Hudson, NY --- The Brooklyn College Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving teams split the dual meet against the Raptors of Bard College on Saturday afternoon. The Brooklyn Men were triumphant 128-69, while the Brooklyn Women fell 89-74.
On the Men's side, the foursome of
Maged Mahmoud (backstroke),
Maksym Soloninko (breaststroke),
Daniel Posada (butterfly) and
Kevin Barros (freestyle) took home a first place finish in the 400-Yard Medley Relay with a time of 4:29.60.
Barros also took home a first place finish in the 100-Yard Butterfly with a time of 1:14.11.
Other top performances came from
Ka Ho Yeung (13:49.39; 1,000-Yard Freestyle),
Shokhrukh Nosirov (24.43; 50-Yard Freestyle / 56.33; 100-Yard Freestyle) and
Anthony Siu (1:19.21; 100-Yard Breaststroke), who all took home a first place finish in their respective events.
Kevin Leung took home a first place finish in the 1-Meter Dive with a score of 156.20.
Yeung, Soloninko, Nosirov and Posada teamed up in the 400-Yard Freestyle Relay to post a first place finish with a time of 3:51.69.
On the Women's side, the quartet of
Jenny Lee (backstroke),
Enlisa Ng Ou (breaststroke),
Rosalia Xue (butterfly) and
Bennett Collier (freestyle) posted a top time of 5:11.33 in the 400-Yard Medley Relay.
Lee also recorded a first place finish in the 400-Yard IM with a time of 5:54.17 and the 100-Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:13.96, while Ng Ou added a first place finish in the 100-Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:21.55.
The team of Xue, Ng Ou, Collier and
Karina Graysenko posted a time of 4:48.33 in the 400-Yard Freestyle to take home first place.
The Brooklyn Women will return to action on Monday, January 26th, as the Bulldogs will take on the Bears of St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn). The meet is scheduled for a 6:00 pm start time at the West Quad Center. The Brooklyn Men have concluded their regular season and will now prepare for the upcoming CUNYAC Championships that are set to take place February 6th-8th at Lehman College.
