Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Brooklyn, NY--- Brooklyn College Women's Volleyball hosted a CUNYAC Multimatch on Monday, facing John Jay College and The City College of New York, while dropping both matches.  Brooklyn fell to CCNY in a five-setter, while falling to John Jay in three.

The Beavers clinched the first set against BC, in a competitive battle ending in 25-23. At the start of the second set, the Bulldogs gained momentum quickly, and kept this advantage throughout, defeating CCNY in the second set, 25-18. Cityretaliated during the third set, and held off the Bulldogs in a 25-17 set. 

Hoping to take the match in the fourth set, CCNY was determined to end the match here. However, the Bulldogs were driven to play a fifth set, which is exactly what happened. The Bulldogs didn't give CCNY a chance to compete, for they dominated the fourth set, 25-12.

The Beavers edged out the fifth set, 15-13, taking the all-important conference match.

Sasha Roopchand and Christolia Butler each tallied double-doubles with 10 kills and 31 digs, and 13 kills and 11 digs respectively. Freshman Virginia Pruitt contributed with 7 kills, while Crystal Wu added 28 assists.

All three sets of the match against John Jay were competitive, but Brooklyn couldn't overcome late rallies by the Bloodhounds. Rachel Eng recorded a double-double for the Bloodhounds, tallying 12 kills and 18 digs.

For the Bulldogs, strong performances were made by Sasha Roopchand, Christolia Butler and Crystal Wu. Roopchand notched 11 digs, while Butler had 11 kills, and Wu led the team with 19 assists.

?The Bulldogs have a week to recover, as they prepare to play St. Jospeh's College of Brooklyn next Tuesday, October 20, at 7:00 pm.
