Men's Soccer Plays Lehman to 1-1 Tie

Box Score

Bronx, NY --- The BC Men's soccer took on Lehman College Saturday morning and came away with a 1-1 draw. The result brings the Bulldogs record to 7-5-2, 4-1-2 (CUNYAC) while the Lightning are currently at 7-6-1, 3-3-1 (CUNYAC).

In a hotly contested affair, the Bulldogs struck first at the 12:21 mark on a Marco Thimm-Kaiser goal assisted by Jerry Morales. Maurice Whyte found the back of the net on a corner kick at the 34:00 minute mark to equalize for Lehman.

The score remained knotted at 1-1 for the rest of regulation, and two ten minute overtime periods. Lehman's Michel Generoso was issued a red card at the 55:00 mark of the second half, the Bulldogs failed to capitalize on the man advantage. The Lightning clearly had their backs against the wall fighting to host a quarter final playoff game. The Bulldogs were clearly dejected at the failure to capitalize on the man advantage for the bulk of the game.

Brooklyn's next opponent will be Rowan College on Monday October 19th at 6:30pm. The game will be played on the Brooklyn College field. This will serve as a test of resolve for the Brooklyn College men with the playoffs less than two weeks away.
