Box Score Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Bulldogs fell in non-league action Monday evening to Connecticut College, 5-0, at BC Field, in the team's last regular season home game. Before the contest, the team honored their six seniors, Shani Nakhid-Shuster,
Sayla Flores,
Jasmine Fermin,
Stefany Ibarra,
Elyzaveta Paradna &
Janet Rodriguez. For Brooklyn, this match dropped their season record to 3-10-2, although they are 2-1-2 in conference, while Connecticut College improves to 3-6-3 overall.
All six of the seniors played on CUNYAC Championship teams for the Bulldogs. Nakhid Shuster and Flores were both original members of the team, which was started four seasons ago.
The Camels had five players contributing goals during the match. Brooklyn's keeper
Rebecca Harmata saw a ton of action, for the Camels fired 14 shots on net. The Camels got off to a quick start, for their first goal was scored within the first two minutes of the game. Connecticut College only gained momentum from here, capitalizing on four more opportunities.
Unfortunately, the Camel's keeper didn't see much action, for the Bulldogs were unable to unleash any opportunities on net. The Bulldogs have not been able to convert any opportunities into goals the past three games. In order to see success in tournament play, Brooklyn will need to find the back of the net during their last two games.
Brooklyn will return to play their last CUNYAC game of the season against Medgar Evers College Wednesday evening, October 21. Medgar Evers has not won a match this season, so Brooklyn College should be well-prepared after their difficult non-conference match-ups, to defeat the Cougars.
