Box Score Brooklyn, NY --- The Men's soccer team won their final conference game over the York Cardinals 7-0. With the win the Bulldogs have secured the second seed in the coming (CUNYAC) playoffs. The Bulldogs improve to 8-6-2, 5-1-2 CUNYAC, while the cardinals slide to 0-13-2, 0-7-1 CUNYAC.   

In a game that had far reaching implications on playoff seeding, the men of Brooklyn College knew they needed a positive result to potentially secure the #2 seed in the upcoming CUNYAC Championship Tournament. Valentyn Kharko opened up the scoring with strike at the 6:37 mark on a feed from Alton Sertac. The Bulldogs would not look back as Somtochukwu  Ezike went on a breakaway for a score at the 8:25 mark. Jordy Ortiz scored the third goal in the 13th minute in the first half on an assist by Somtochukwu Ezike. At that point the game was well in hand in terms of possession time, shots on goal, and completed passes. To round out the first half scoring, Valentyn Kharko and Somtochukwu  Ezike struck again at the 39th and 49th minute mark.  

Kharko registered a hat trick on the night with the opening goal in the second half. Marco Thimm-Kaiser sealed the scoring for the night after stealing the ball from the cardinals defense.
 
The Bulldogs will face NYU for a non-conference tilt on Friday October 23rd with a 6pm start time. The game will be played at Brooklyn College field. This contest will serve as an excellent tune-up for the CUNYAC tournament. 

The game will also be white-out night, where the first 150 fans will get free BC Bulldogs t-shirts.  In addition, the contest will also serve as the team's senior night, where lone senior Sirojiddin Shamsiev will be honored.
