Men's Soccer Falls in ECAC Metro Quarterfinal, 4-0 to Drew

Bulldogs close season with 9-9-2 overall record.

Box Score Madison,NJ----The #6 seeded Brooklyn College men's soccer team ended their season this evening in the quarterfinals of the ECAC Metro Division III Championships, falling at #3 seed, Drew University(12-4-3), 4-0.  BC completes the 2015 season with a 9-9-2 overall record (5-1-2 in CUNYAC play). 

The host team scored the winning goal in the 14th minute of the match on a long ball into the box.  Drew added another goal just under seven minutes later for a 2-0 halftime lead. 

Two minutes into the second half, the Rangers scored their third goal of the evening and added their final net of the match in the 54th minute.
 
The Rangers outshot the Bulldogs 29-12 with ten total shots goals.  Brooklyn ended the evening with five shots on target.

Midfielder Jordy Ortiz and forward Valentyn Kharko led the Bulldogs offensively with three shots a piece, and both managed a shot on goal.

Drew had seven corner kicks to he Bulldogs' zero attempts, allowing them to keep the Bulldogs on their heels for the majority of the contest.

Despite the defeat, the Bulldogs returned to the ECACs after only a season's hiatus.  In 2013, Brooklyn reached the quarterfinals of the ECAC Division III Championships. 

The Bulldogs' 5-1-2 conference record is a draw of an improvement from last season's 5-2-1 mark. 

BC advanced to the CUNYAC postseason tournament semifinal before falling to eventual champion, CCNY, 2-0.
