Box Score New York, NY --- The #5 Brooklyn College Women's Volleyball team was defeated by the #4 seeded Bloodhounds of John Jay College on Tuesday evening. This win advances John Jay to the CUNYAC semifinals, which will take place Friday, November 6, at 6 pm at Hunter College, while the Bulldogs end their season with a 7-21 overall record.

Christolia Butler recorded 9 blocks and 2 kills, while teammate
Brianna Montana picked up 13 digs, 3 kills, and 2 assists. SeniorÂ
Sasha Roopchand registered 4 kills and 2 blocks.
The Bulldogs were off to a good start early in the first set, taking advantage after totaling 4 straight points, leading 5-3. The Bloodhounds quickly answered back, going on a 7-1 run. The Bulldogs fell behind, 15-10, and couldn't regain composure, leading John Jay to take the first set, 25-18.
Brooklyn came out fired up in the second set, going on another early run, leading 6-3. John Jay fought back, and eventually tied the set, 9-9. Brooklyn took the lead later in the set, advancing to 18-15, but the Bloodhounds ran off eight straight, taking control of the set.
The Bulldogs struggled during the third and final set of the match. John Jay was in complete control for the entire set, winning 25-10.
Brooklyn had some tough luck under first-year coach

Francesca LoCascio went down with a season-ending injury, however the team has eight of their ten players returning and coach Mueller is hard at work recruiting so that 2016 should be an exciting one for the Bulldogs.
