Box Score Brooklyn, NY---The Stevens Ducks earned their second straight win on Wednesday evening, knocking off Brooklyn 60-36, snapping the Bulldogs win streak at three games. Brooklyn falls to 4-3 on the year while Stevens improves to 2-2.
The Bulldogs jumped out to an early 6-0 lead, but couldn't muster much offense for the game, shooting only 36% from the field, while turning the ball over 21 times.
Alexandra Moogan led the squad with eight points, while
Taylor Gallagher chipped in seven points and six assists. The Ducks were led by Erica Guketlov's 15 points, including three for eight from behind the arc.
Stevens took advantage of the Bulldogs' shooting woes towards the middle of the second period, taking a ten-point lead with 5:26 left in the first half. They would extend that lead to as many as 16 points. The Bulldogs cut the Ducks' halftime lead to 13 (31-18) on a
Karen Mak "and-one" three-point play.
The Ducks kept a comfortable lead through the third period, increasing it to as many as 19 points with 1:22 remaining.
Not able to get a streak going in the final period, the Ducks reached over 20 points with 8:07 left in the game.
Stevens knocked down eight three-pointers on the game to the Bulldogs' three and were 8-10 from the charity stripe compared to BC's 1-3.
The Bulldogs were led by Alexandra Moggan's eight points off of the bench including two makes from beyond the arc.
Maya Ajee-Thomas grabbed eight boards on the evening.
