MEET RESULTSPurchase, NY----The men's and women's swimming teams split with Purchase with the men defeating the Panthers, 101-94 and the women falling to PC 109-71. BC men improve to 3-2 overall with the non-conference victory. The BC women drop to 2-3 on the season. Both teams will be back in action at Old Westbury on Wednesday, December 9th, at 6:00 PM. Both teams will look to sweep the season home and home exchange with the Bulldogs winning the men's and women's meets at the West Quad Center back on November 10th.
Trailing in team points heading into the final event, the BC men's 200-freestyle relay foursome of
Patrick Joseph Limage,
Dmitriy Fisher,
Kevin Leung, and
Shokrukh Nosirov would earn eleven points for the first-place finish and team win. Their time of 1:38.87 bested fellow teammates Hugo Mesa, Umut Tanritinir,
Kevin Barros, and
Eduardo Astudillo's second-place time of 1:45.77. The second-place finish helped the Bulldogs to four more points.
Excelling in relay events on the evening, the men opened their portion of the meet, winning the 200-yard medley relay.

Fong Zeng, and
Eduardo Astudillo swam a first-place time of 2:08.55.
Freshman
Hugo Meza finished first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 55.71. He would be followed by teammates,
Fong Zeng and
Kevin Barros who finished in second and third respectively. The event earned the Bulldogs 16 team points.
On the women's side,
Rosalia Xue won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 29.38. Later on in the meet, last week's CUNYAC Rookie of the Week, freshman
Valerie Vassilieva, finished in first-place in the 100-yard breast stroke.
