Brooklyn, NY --- The Brooklyn College Softball team (5-7) dropped a non-conference doubleheader on Wednesday at BC Field against the Roadrunners of Ramapo College (11-5).

In the opener, after two scoreless innings, the visiting Roadrunners struck first scoring four runs in the top of the third. Mikayla Melendez would get Ramapo on the board with an inside the park homerun that also scored Alexandria Rigoli. Melanie Walling's RBI double that plated Kim LaPenta would later make it 3-0, while Danielle Saporito's RBI single up the middle capped the four-run inning scoring Melissa Moreno.

The Bulldogs would answer in the bottom half of the third with an RBI single from Kayla Hill that scored Chrissy Heyer.

Brooklyn would take its first lead of the game in the bottom of the fifth that saw the Bulldogs score six runs on five hits and an error.
