Brooklyn Falls To Hunter, 2-1, In Crucial Conference Game

Box Score Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Bulldogs fell for the second consecutive game, losing to Hunter 2-1 in an important matchup in the conference standings.  It was the Bulldogs' first conference loss, dropping their record to 3-5-1, 1-1-1 CUNYAC, while the Hawks improved to 5-5, 2-1.

Hunter got on the board first as Nico Serna scored just 6:38 into the contest to put the Hawks up 1-0, a lead they would maintain for the remainder of the half.

The second half saw both teams with multiple scoring opportunities, but it wasn't until the Hawks' Brandon Fiscina took a feed from Diego Cisneros and found the net that Hunter had a two-goal cushion, and seemed to have ensured the road vicotry.

Brooklyn was able to get a late goal as Kenny Benitez put home a penalty kick with 33 seconds, and although they amped up the pressure for the remaining time, the Bulldogs could not salvage a last-second score.

Brooklyn faces off with borough and CUNYAC rival Medgar Evers on Saturday as they look to improve on their league mark of 1-1-1.
