New York, NY---The Brooklyn women's swimming and diving team dropped their final regular season meet of the season this evening in CUNYAC action at John Jay, 52-42, last night. BC ends the 2015-16 regular season with a 3-8 overall record and a 1-5 showing against CUNYAC competition. The Bulldogs will have a full week to train before the start of the 2016 CUNYAC Championships hosted by Lehman College on February 5. The CUNYACs will run through February 7.
MEET RESULTSThe Bulldogs started the meet off on the right foot, with the 200 medley relay foursome of
Eva Chan,
Valerie Vassilieva,
Rosalia Xue, and
Danielle Mollo-Siano finishing in first-place by just over three seconds. In the next event, senior
Karina Gaysenko would finish in first-place in the 1000 yard freestyle final with a time over a minute faster than John Jay's second-place finisher.
John Jay responded by winning the next three events racking up 15 first-place points.
Senior
Rosalia Xue finished first in the 100 yard butterfly final.
The Bloodhounds created separation towards the end of meet, finishing in first-place in four of the last five scored events.
