Box Score Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Bulldogs led from beginning to end, winning 63-57, in a huge conference face-off with the College of Staten Island, as the two squads entered action as the only remaining undefeated team's in CUNYAC play.  BC moves to 8-4, 5-0 CUNYAC, while the Dolphins fall to 7-5, 3-1.

The Bulldogs opened the game with a purpose, scoring the contest's first nine points, as starters Olivia Colbert, Justine Vento, Taylor Gallagher and Karen Mak each chipped in with baskets during the opening moments to spark the run.

Staten Island would answer with a 12-5 run of their own, cutting the deficit to two, 14-12, capped by a basket from reserve Rosa Perrone.  Brooklyn's Colbert would score on a lay-up to give the hosts a 16-12 lead at the end of one. 

Brooklyn would start the second period hot once again, going on a 14-3 run to begin the quarter, and grab a 30-17 lead with 3:48 to go in the half.Colbert and Vento poured in six points a piece during the run.  CSI would cut the deficit to 34-25 entering halftime.

The third period saw the teams go back and forth, with Brooklyn pushing their lead to as many as 11, before the Dolphins got it all the way down to five with 51 seconds to go in the quarter, but Gallagher answered with a big three with 18 seconds to go to make the score 46-38 entering the fourth.

After a Victoria Gallinaro basket closed the deficit to six, Colbert and Maya Ajee-Thomas scored on consecutive buckets to give Brooklyn a 50-40 lead, however the visitors would keep battling and eventually cut the gap to as close as three, with 29 seconds to go, but that was as close as they'd get, as Mak and Colbert would hit some free throws down the stretch to clinch the win.

Brooklyn will look to remain unbeaten on Tuesday as they travel to York to take on the Cardinals in another conference game beginning at 6 pm.
