Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Fall at William Paterson

Wanye, NY---The Brooklyn College men's and women's swimming and diving teams closed out their first semester schedules this afternoon falling at William Paterson, 115-74 and 114-78 respectively.  The Brooklyn women drop to 2-3 and the BC men fall to 2-2 overall with the non-conference losses.  Brooklyn's women will return to conference competition on January 3 as they travel to Hunter College.  Both teams will be traveling to Stuart, Florida for the CSCAA Sprint Meet on January 6.

Women's Highlights
  • Sophomore Valerie Vassilieva finished in first place in the 200 yard freestyle final.
  • Vassilieva would go on to set the Brooklyn College record in the 200 yard breast stroke final with a time of 2:51.65.
Men's Highlights
  • Junior Brian Jensen finished in third place in the 100 yard freestyle final. 
  • Sophomore Tommy Gaspar finished in third place in the 200 yard butterfly final.
