Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College men's and women's swimming and diving teams split with St. Joseph's College Brooklyn this evening in non-conference action.  The Brooklyn Women (2-2) fell to the Lady Bears, 128-76 while the Brooklyn Men (2-1)  defeated St. Joe's 115-57.  Both teams will continue their non-conference schedule as they travel to William Paterson on Saturday.

Women's Highlights 

• Sophomore Valerie Vassilieva finished in First Place in the 50 yard freestyle final, setting a Brooklyn College record with a time of 26.55. 
• Sophomore diver Crystal Mieux picked up nine points for the Bulldogs in the 1-meter diving final. 
• Freshman Angella Christopher finished in Second Place in the 100 yard butterfly final. 

Men's Highlights

• The Bulldogs finished in First Place in every event final with the exception of two races on the evening. 
• Brooklyn started the meet by setting the school's 200 medley relay record with a time of 1:52.45. (Umut Tanritanir, Vincent Xue, Tommy Gaspar, Kevin Leung)
• Sophomore Hugo Meza set the 1000 yard freestyle record with a time of 12:04.00.
