Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College softball team dropped their season-opening doubleheader this evening, falling to New Jersey City University 13-1 in the first game and 18-0 in the second. The Gothic Knights improved to 7-5-0 overall with the wins. Brooklyn will be on the road on Monday at SUNY Old Westbury for a non-conference doubleheader set start at 3:00 PM.

Sasha Roopchand who walked earlier in the inning for the Bulldogs' lone run. NJCU opened the game with ten runs in the top of the first.
The Gothic Knights received another strong pitching performance in the second game allowing only one BC hit through five innings played. Second baseman
Sasha Roopchand managed a single in the bottom of the third inning. Errors hurt the Bulldogs early in the second. They did settle down in the field later in the game.
