Jordy Ortiz, had a career evening, finishing with a hat trick in the Bulldogs' 4-2 victory at Purchase tonight. The Brooklyn College men's soccer team improves to 3-4-1 with the non-conference win. BC will have a couple of days to prepare for their CUNYAC home match against York on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for noon.
Brooklyn didn't always lead in the match, with the home team taking a 1-0 lead in only the third minute of the match. The Bulldogs didn't take long to respond as Ortiz scored his first of three goals in the sixth minute, tying the match. The match remained tied at the break. Omer Capoglu scored the winning goal on a free kick in the 56th minute.
Ortiz put the match out-of-reach in the 65th minute on a one-to-one with the keeper to complete the hat trick.
