Box Score Brooklyn, NY---Needing a win to move up in the CUNYAC standings, the BC women's volleyball team rose to the occasion at home tonight, shutting out Lehman 3-0 (17, 17, 14) for their third win in four games. The Bulldogs improve to 3-10 overall and 2-2 in the CUNYAC. Lehman drops to 4-7 and 2-2. Brooklyn will be back on the road this weekend in the Montclair State tri-match where they will face the host and College of New Rochelle.
Playing inspired volleyball from the very beginning of the match, the Bulldogs jumped out to a 6-1 lead to start the first first set. Brooklyn never trailed through the first set. Senior
Francesca LoCascio was involved in the Bulldogs' final two points including a kill.
Despite falling behind 2-0 to start the second set, the Bulldogs scored three straight including a
Christolia Butler block and kill. Trailing 8-6, the Bulldogs rallied again for four straight points to take a 10-8 lead. With the score tied 12-12 just about halfway through the set, BC went on a 5-0 run capped by a
Diana Pyrlitants ace. Brooklyn scored three straight including a
Helen Lau kill to end the second set.
Played closely through the third set with the Bulldogs leading 16-14, the climate changed immediately with the Bulldogs dominating the remainder of the set. They would score the next nine straight points for the victory.

Christolia Butler finished with six kills including two blocks. Junior outside hitter
Sarina Rozek also finished contributed a strong performance finishing with four kills including two blocks on the evening. Junior outside hitter
Helen Lau served up three aces in the win. Sophomore setter
Monineath Pen assisted on 20 kills for the evening.
