Jordy Ortiz combined for five goals to help the BC men's soccer team to their first conference win of the season this afternoon against York, 8-2. Â Brooklyn improves to 4-4-1, 1-0-1 in the CUNYAC with the victory. Â York drops to 0-8 to start the season. Â
The headline fo the day was Kharko's hat trick including the goal that gave the Bulldogs the 2-1 lead heading into the second half. Â Ortiz who recorded a hat trick on Wednesday in a 4-2 win at Purchase, scored the game winner this afternoon within the first minute of the second half giving the Bulldogs a 4-2 advantage. Â
Although controlling the match from the opening kick, York took a 1-0 lead in the 19th minute on a cross to the left center for a lefty knock from about 20 yards out. Â

Marco Thimm-Kaiser would tie the score on a lefty kick that rolled through traffic into the net from about thirty-five yards out. Â Kharko would give the Bulldogs the lead for good on a free kick from 20 yards out. Â

The Bulldogs will remain home on Monday as they play host against non-conference opponent, Manhattanville. Â It will be a White-Out game in which the first 150 fans receive a Brooklyn College Bulldogs T-Shirt. Â Doors open at 3:30 PM for a 4:00 PM kickoff. Â
