Annandale-on-Hudson, NY---The Brooklyn College women's and men's swimming and teams were both defeated in a non-conference dual meet this afternoon, 161-93 and 121-96 respectively.  Brooklyn will be back in the pool at home to host Purchase College on Senior Night on Thursday, January 19.  The non-conference meet kicks off at 6:00 pm.  

Sophomore Valerie Vassilieva gave the Bulldogs their first win of the afternoon, finishing in first-place in the 200 yard freestyle final with a time of 2:13.90.  She would go on to finish first individually two more times in the meet, winning the 100 yard freestyle final and the 50 yard breast stroke final.  Freshman standout Angella Christopher won the 100 yard butterfly final with a time of 1:11.28.

On the men's side, freshman Vincent Xue picked up the first individual win of the day for BC finishing first in the 50 yard backstroke.  Brooklyn would go on to dominate the 50 yard freestyle final with Kevin Leung and Brian Jensen finishing in first and second respectively.  Jensen would go on to also win the 100 yard freestyle final.  The 200 yard freestyle relay squad of Jensen, Leung, Xue, and Peter Khimitch rolled to a first place victory to end the meet.
