Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College women's tennis team picked up a key CUNYAC victory this afternoon, defeating the College of Staten Island, 5-4 , to improve to 2-2 in conference play. Brooklyn is now 5-3 overall on the season. The Bulldogs handed the Dolphins their first conference loss of the season as they move to 3-1 and 3-2 overall on the season.  BC continues CUNYAC play on the road in a makeup match with York on Friday.

-Senior Julia Mekler secure the team victory with her 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 win at No. 6 singles. 
-Junior Ievgeniia Kostenko, freshman Rosa Aksanov, sophomore Georgeen Belrose also won singles matches at No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 flights respectively. 
-Kostenko and Aksanov gave the Bulldogs their victory in doubles at the top flight.
