Women's Swimming and Diving Pulls Out Thrilling 108-103 CUNYAC Victory Over Lehman

Brooklyn, NY---Needing a First Place finish in the final event of the evening, the 200 yard freestyle relay, the Bulldogs answered the call propelling them to a 108-103 conference win over Lehman College last night at the West Quad Center.  Brooklyn improves to 2-2 overall and 2-2 in CUNYAC with the victory.  Lehman drops to 2-3 and 0-3 with the conference loss.  The Bulldogs remain home on 12/2 to host Bard College in a non-conference dual meet with the men's team at 1:00 pm.  

Meet Notes

-The 200 yard freestyle relay squad consisting of Melanie Deringer, Ashley Loo, Natalia Mrzyglod, and Sarah Coopersmith scored the 11 deciding points with a First Place finish time of 2:08.15 to give Brooklyn the team victory.  
-Semona Bardman won the 500 yard freestyle final with a time of 6:49.96. Earlier in the meet, she won the 200 yard freestyle final with a time of 2:32.33.  
-Stella Ryklis helped the Bulldogs to nine points thanks to a strong sprint on the final lap leading to a First Place finish in the 1000 yard freestyle final with a time of 16:44.59.
