Men's Basketball Falls at Home to Stevens Tech

Box Score Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College men's basketball team suffered a 92-66 non-conference loss at the West Quad Center to Stevens Institute of Technology this evening, to fall to 0-7.  Stevens improved to 4-3 with the road victory.  The Bulldogs return to conference play on the road as they travel to the Bronx to take on Lehman College. The men's game will be played at 5:00 pm followed by the women at 7:15 pm.  

How It Happened

-The visiting Ducks buried 14 three-pointers for the game while shooting 46.7% from beyond the arc.  
-Brooklyn fell behind early in the game and was never able to dig themselves out of an 11-3 hole to start the contest.  Stevens would lead by as many as 20 points in the first half. 
-Trailing by 22 points early in the second half, a Nathan Josephat three-point make with 17:12 left in regulation cut the Stevens lead to under 20 points for the last time of the game.  

Box Score Breakdown

-Stevens had 16 different players make the ledger in scoring. 
-The Bulldogs did out-rebound Stevens 18-10 on the offensive glass, but Stevens finished with a 47-38 overall edge. 

Leading the Bulldogs

-Junior wing Leonel Familia scored a team-high nine points off of the bench. He also matched a team-high in rebounds with five. 
-Freshman guard Luke Carson added seven points off of the bench.  

Leading the Ducks

-Spencer Cook scored a game-high 16 points including shooting 4-8 from beyond the arc. 
-Frank Amari dished out six assists to teammates.
