Men's Soccer Starts 2017 Season With 0-0 Draw Against NYU

Box Score Riverdale, NY---After ninety minutes of regulation and two overtimes, the BC men's soccer team would pick up a 0-0 draw in their season opener against New York University this afternoon.  The Bulldogs don't have much time to recover as they travel to St. Joseph's Long Island to take on the Golden Eagles at 12:00 pm.

"It was a valiant effort against a good club," Head Coach, Joseph André would go on to say following the marathon match. 

Game Notes

-The Violets out-shot the Bulldogs in both periods and the first overtime.  However, BC had a 3-1 edge in the 2nd OT.
-BC finished with five shots-on-goal for the match to the Violets nine. 
-BC junior midfielder Ahmad Aly led the Bulldogs with six shots including three shots-on-goal. 
-Sophomore goalkeeper Utku Tanritanir finished with a tremendous day between the sticks, playing the entire match and finishing with nine saves while facing all 26 NYU shots. The sophomore goalie came up with a huge save just before the end of regulation.
