Box Score Patchogue, NY---Despite a less than 24-hour turnaround after their double overtime draw with NYU, the Brooklyn College men's soccer team earned their first win of the 2017 season at St. Joseph's College, 3-1, this afternoon. The Bulldogs are now 1-0-1 heading into their home opener on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles dropped their season opener today.
"Happy with the overall play today, especially with the quick turnaround," second-year BC Head Coach, Joseph Andre would say after the match.

-The Bulldogs would find themselves trailing in the sixth minute of the match, as SJC's Alex Tarach scored the match's first goal.
-Brooklyn tied the match in the 18th minute as senior midfielder,
Jean-Luc Saint-Fleur played heads-up soccer jumping on a loose ball at the top of the box.
-Freshman midfielder
Azizjon Ziyaev scored the game-winner in the 48th minute for his first collegiate goal, beating the goalkeeper with a shot to the top of the net.
-Junior midfielder
Ahmad Aly netted an insurance goal less than ten minutes after Ziyaev's.
-Both teams finished with eight shots-on-goal.
-Sophomore goalie Utku Tanritanir had another solid outing, saving seven while facing 21 Golden Eagle shots.
